2009 Indianapolis Moto GP
No hurricane this year as the bikes make their way around the Brickyard. Cloudy and rainy weather during Friday's practice gave way to a beautiful race day. Pedrosa grabbed the pole but crashed early in the race. Rossi was the expected winner after Pedrosa's wreck but ended up low siding it near turn one. Lorenzo checked out with a huge lead and was followed by De Angelis who set a new track speed record by breaking the 200 mph barrier three times during the race at the speed trap near the start finish line. American Nicky Hayden finally got a podium finish for third, his first podium of the year.
