2015 Indianapolis 500

This year brought the new aero kits supplied by Chevy and Honda. The Chevy teams of Castoneves, Newgarden and Carpenter all had incidents at the south end that ended up with their cars flipping upside down. James Hinchcliffe had a massive impact in his Honda powered machine that was estimated at 125 G's. He sustained injuries to both his legs and pelvis when a piece of the wishbone pierced the tub and caused the injuries. He is expected to recover.
